Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved sending and receiving mail. My mother ignited my enthusiasm by mailing wildly creative letters to me at summer camp. During college, my friends and I would send each other collaged mail – crazy things to challenge the post office. The mail I received, and have saved is a tactile memory of a time, of friends and family. 

I have produced a limited edition New Years card for over twenty years. Often these cards would be printed on different pages from the same book, making each one unique. During the Covid lockdown in 2020, I created “Mailove2020,” to stay connected to my friends along with artists I admired. For this project, I mailed over 75 pieces of individualized custom art. These images are a selection from both projects.
